Zulema is an otherworldly horror summoned to this world (and named) by a Polish warlock more than a three decades ago. Used and abused by the warlock, Zulema eventually broke free and consumed her master - who, as it turned out, was nowhere near as powerful as he had led her to believe - before taking on a human guise and setting out into the world.

Zulema's true form - described as equal parts beautiful and terrifying by the fortunate (or unfortunate) few who have witnessed it - is rarely seen, and she prefers to assume a more innocuous human shape (though she will occasionally allow small elements of her true self to slip through in her teeth, eyes and occasionally limbs). In human form, Zulema appears as a tallish young woman with a slender, supple physique and long hair (I'm still debating over color - blond, black or red seem like the most likely options), which she typically keeps done up into a pair of loose pigtails. Unless she chooses to deliberately disguise them, her eyes appear golden, with either squid-like or snake-like pupils, and her teeth are sharp and triangular, like a shark's. Like a snake, her jaw can unhinge to a rather alarming extent, and her throat and stomach are astonishingly elastic, allowing her to swallow several full-sized humans whole before feeling the first twinges of strain. When stretching unnaturally, her skin will occasionally display a decidedly non-human pigmentation in the areas under the greatest strain. When not in public, she will often manifest a second set of arms, to help her with day-to-day tasks or restraining prey. She typically dresses in Japanese schoolgirl-like attire - short skirt, high socks, blouse and occasionally a sweater-like vest (though the buttons of the last two garments can quickly become strained if her appetite gets the better of her). Much to her chagrin, she is more than a little nearsighted on this plane, and must wear glasses while in human form in order to see clearly.

When Zulema consumes another creature, they are not digested or destroyed, but rather are slowly absorbed into her body - a process that can take between several hours and several days, depending on the size of the meal. Absorbing an individual gives Zulema access to their memories, as well as any exceptional physical or mental attributes they might possess. Absorbing a star athlete, for example, will cause Zulema to become more muscular and physically adept, while absorbing a curvaceous pinup model will cause her to become more voluptuous, etc. With great effort, she can even assume her victim's form, albeit temporarily (the exertion required is tremendous, and usually leaves her exhausted after only an hour or two). Absorbed victims can be regurgitated at any time - whole and unharmed - though they usually retain no memory of what has happened to them. Bursting Zulema (which can sometimes happen if she over-stuffs - or is forced to over-stuff - herself) automatically restores all her victims, and leaves her weak and helpless for some time afterwards. She has a particularly strong appetite for exceptionally busty young women, which she must struggle to keep in check. She adores the physical sensation of their curves sliding down her throat, pressing against her form the inside, and delights in temporarily manifesting their exceptional curves. When possible, she will gorge herself on several at once, absorbing them, then lying back and savoring the sensation as her own bosom balloons to outrageous proportions. Once her lust has been sated, she regurgitates them harmlessly and sends them on their way. Taking so many at once is risky however, and such "binges" are one of the easiest ways for Zulema to become dangerously over-full.

Despite her predatory nature and ravenous appetite, Zulema is not truly evil. A stranger, trapped in a world she only half-understands, she is trying to make the best of her situation, and enjoy herself as much as possible without attracting undue attention or otherwise frightening the native populace. When not on the hunt, she is somewhat bookish, with a particular interest in history and the occult (she hopes to work out exactly how she was summoned to this world, and thus, how to escape it, should the need arise). Her demeanor ranges from slightly haughty and up-tight to brazenly sensual and aggressive, depending on how long she has gone without feeding. Surprisingly, although Zulema uses sex as a tool for hunting, she is unaccustomed to genuine and sincere flattery, and is easily flustered by innocent compliments or earnest romantic attentions. She is extremely nervous about the prospect of forming a genuine relationship with someone, fearing it might begin to hinder her ability to objectify (and thus hunt) humans, but also afraid of what her predatory instincts might drive her to do to those close to her, should she ever lose control.
